Code of Conduct & School Rules

At Global Minds School, Maliyabagh, we believe that self-discipline, mutual respect, and punctuality lay the foundation for true character and academic excellence. All students and their guardians are expected to uphold the spirit and letter of these regulations.

1. Punctuality & Attendance

• Students must reach the school campus at least 10 minutes before the morning assembly. Late arrivals will not be admitted into classes without permission from the principal.
• A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing in mid-term and annual examinations.
• Leave of absence must be applied for in advance via the student diary or through the school mobile app, signed by the parent or authorised guardian.
• In case of illness extending beyond three days, a registered medical practitioner's certificate must be submitted upon return.

2. School Uniform & Personal Hygiene

• Every student must wear the prescribed, clean, and properly ironed school uniform along with polished shoes and school ID card every day.
• Fancy haircuts, hair coloring, nail paint, makeup, jewelry, and non-prescribed accessories are strictly prohibited.
• Students must maintain personal cleanliness, short and neatly groomed hair, and clean fingernails.

3. Campus Discipline & General Conduct

• Respectful behavior towards teachers, staff members, fellow peers, and school visitors is mandatory at all times.
• Bullying, ragging, abusive language, physical altercations, or any discriminatory conduct will attract immediate disciplinary action, up to suspension or rustication.
• Littering inside classrooms or corridors is strictly forbidden; students must dispose of waste in designated dustbins.
• English is encouraged as the primary medium of everyday conversation within the school campus to build fluency and communication confidence.

4. Campus Property & Infrastructure

• School furniture, smart classroom equipment, computer lab systems, sports equipment, and library books must be treated with utmost care.
• Any damage or defacement to school property will be charged to the responsible student along with an appropriate disciplinary fine.

5. Prohibited Items

• Smartphones, smartwatches, electronic gadgets, video games, or unnecessary cash are strictly prohibited on campus for students.
• Sharp objects, crackers, or objectionable materials of any kind are strictly forbidden. Contraband items will be confiscated and not returned.

6. Parent-School Partnership

• Parents are requested to check and sign their child's school diary and mobile app daily for homework, teacher notes, and circulars.
• Parents must attend all Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to stay updated on their child's academic and emotional growth.
• Direct entry into classrooms during teaching hours is strictly disallowed. Parents may meet teachers only after obtaining a visitor pass from the administrative office.

7. Transport & Bus Guidelines

• Students using school bus transport must maintain calm discipline, remain seated while the vehicle is in motion, and strictly obey the bus driver and conductor.
• Any indiscipline or unsafe behavior in the school bus may lead to withdrawal of the transport facility.
